Arbroath is a child friendly town and has all
the outdoor
activities you'd expect in a seaside town. Head down to the West Links,
(walk south-west from the harbour, or use the
road train) and you're in the ideal location for the seafront,
childrens' amusements, swing parks, trampolines, crazy golf,
paddling pool, toy cars and lots more. |
| If you're looking for a fun way to get around town, try
the Road Train.
You can get day tickets and there are stops
all around the town, connecting all the main attractions such as Arbroath Abbey,
the harbour and the West
Links. It'll even take
you into
town and stops off at the end of the high street. It's in
service during the summer months and easter holidays. |

Kerr's
Miniature Railway is a must for children and adults of all
ages.
It is the oldest and smallest narrow gauge railway in Scotland and has
been owned and run by the same family since
it's inception in 1935. It's situated down at the West Links,
along with a host of other family focused activities
You can easily also get there on foot, or use the Road Train. |
The harbour, cliffs and rock pools are right outside
the door if you want a leisurely walk on the seafront,or a spot of
crabbing.
You will also find some of the best sand dunes and beaches to be found
on the
east coast at Lunan Bay,
pictured at the top of this page.
It's in a beautiful secluded area, only 7
miles north of Arbroath. |
