31 Union Street East is a traditional stone built dwelling situated in the seafront/smoke house area of Arbroath, conveniently situated close to the beach, harbour and other local amenities. There is a sand and shingle beach with plenty of rock pools, literally out the front door and turn left. The harbour is a couple of hundred yards further down. There is easy access to shops, restaurants, pubs, banks and post office, all within walking distance of the house. As a self catering holiday cottage, it is perfectly placed for golf and beaches. Apart from the local courses at Arbroath and Letham Grange, the Championship Course at Carnoustie is only 5 miles to the south and the superb beach and dunes at Lunan Bay are approx. 7 miles to the north. |
|
Head away from the harbour and you are right at the entrance to Victoria Park, a long wide expanse of open grassland, with magnificent cliff walks at other end. It's about a half-mile walk to the start of the Cliffs and the King's Drive runs through the park adjacent to the sea if you need to use a vehicle. Alternatively, try the Angus Glens for some of the best hill walking in the east of Scotland, situated at the southern perimeter of the Cairngorms. |
